After the program has collected inventory information from the network
computers, the Network Administrator can print inventory reports based on
the collected information. All inventory reports are separated into four
big groups:
- General
- Operating System
- Software
- Hardware
with 4-7 reports in each group, 23 reports total.
The most important inventory reports
The following reports are most often used by the customers:
General Computer Information (Brief)
List all computers in the network. For each computer, this report shows computer
name, computer manufacturer, computer model, serial number, CPU's, memory size
and operating system and service packs information.
Not Installed Hotfixes
For each computer in the network, this inventory report shows the list of
hotfixes not installed on this computer. This report forms the complete list
of hotfixes by collectig all hotfixes installed on all network computers and
then for each computer lists hotfixes that are not installed on it.
Software Licenses
The Software Licenses Totals Inventory Report collects information about all
software packages installed on the network computers, compares the number of
installations with the number of licenses your company owns (Network
Administrator enters this information in a special screen) and shows the list
of the software titles installed on the network computers, outlining the number
of installations and number of licenses for each.
