In the case of the server state changes (i.e. when the program detects that the server went down or up), the program can execute SQL statements against the specified ODBC data source on virtually any database server, including, but not limited to SQL Server 2000:

To configure the program to execute SQL server scripts please set the "ODBC Data Source" combo to the appropriate data source name, specify a valid user login and password information and write down the SQL query that should be executed if a server you wish to monitor changes it's state.
